A Piece of My Heart Belongs In Brentwood
I terribly miss our life in Brentwood. Everything and anything was within a 2 block radius. Whole Foods was my backyard, Katsuya was around the corner, and Ron Herman was just down the street to the left. The convenience of walking to places and being right in the mix of the Westside is now a fond memory of my twenties.
We took a break from the suburban heat and headed over to our old stomping grounds, the Brentwood Country Mart. It's become a swanky one stop shop for some of the finest shopping and dining on the Westside. You can shop at boutiques such as Intermix and Sugar Paper, eat at the Farmshop and Sweet Rose Creamery, and across the way you'll come across Scoop NYC, and one of my favorite healthy Tex-Mex restaurant, Kay 'N Dave's.
Another great perk about this place is that it's family-friendly. It's enclosed for the kids to run freely, miniature horses and merry-go-rounds to ride on, and plenty of food options for tikes to dine. And on a lucky day, you may bump into some of Hollywood's hottest moms and their families such as Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba or Reese Witherspoon.
As a side note, I have a new major crush on the Sugar Paper shop. I would die to own a cute, quaint stationery shop like this...
