I went a little overboard with some spray paint and glitter on my pumpkins this year, but how gorgeous did these come out? I have never been so ecstatic over a pumpkin, so had to share these. You could apply these techniques to real pumpkins or these craft pumpkins I found at Target (seen in black and cream below). Pick up some glitter, paint and glue, which I am sure you have lying around the house, and go nuts with the decorating. As some of you know, I have an affinity for stripes and chevrons, so I created a gold and glittered chevron pattern on one of my pumpkins.
The Hubs (who painted chevrons in Lil Tyty's nursery) helped me tape chevron patterns around the pumpkin.
Tip: if using tape to create patterns, remove tape while paint is still wet.
I used some spray adhesive for the glitter to adhere to the stripe.
