It’s that time of the year. The beginning. A fresh start and a clean slate. For everyone to resolute and have an even better and amazing 2013. And since my track record in resolutions have had a high fail rate in years passed – I have decided to make some vows a little more achievable for this year. Some a bit tangible, and of course some that I will have to really reach for. Of course, it’s always in the back of my mind to eat less sweets, work out more, swear less, and be more positive…but this year, I have a wide array of resolutions.
Resolution 1: Visit Paris. I have studied abroad in Italy, my husband back packed across Europe, yet we have never been across the pond together. And I have yet to see Paris – and this was the one thing I wish I would have done prior to starting a family. To travel and see the world with my best bud. Well, now the Hubs and I have the opportunity to as he is being shipped away for business this summer. I have already begun pinning my inspirations of Paris below.
Resolution 2: Wear lipstick. I hardly wear anything colored on my lips. Not even a shimmery lip gloss. And after receiving four separate lipsticks for Christmas, I found it as a hint to put some pep on my pout. So, in an effort for some self-care and a better me – I am going to put on some lipstick every day.
Resolution 3: Save for College. I can’t even bear to get into the topic of LA private schools and the high tuition for Kindergarten. So I will continue to live in a state of denial and believe that there is a utopia of awesome schools that are safe with little cost (ahem, home school). Nonetheless, I vow to cut back costs in my daily lifestyle e.g. shop less, eat in more all to fund a college savings…and let’s not forget to cross fingers for a athletic scholarship.
Resolution 4: Launch my own business. I keep talking the talk, but not walking the walk. So this year, I am doing it. I don’t intend to work for “the man” for the rest of my life so it’s time to think more long term.
