The last two weekends have been fun filled with family and friends. So much fun, it has been really tough to transition into this Monday. From BBQ’s to playdates to graduations, it has been serious quality time with my boos. Oh, and have I mentioned that we have begun remodeling our backyard? More details to follow on an upcoming post, but because of this, we have been limited in space for such uncontainable boy energy, so we have resorted to venturing around LA’s local mountains and parks.

Gwyneth Paltrow has added yet another facet to her life resume: actress, mother, lifestyle blogger, and now retailer for her goop brand. It wasn’t long after opening that I dragged my family to the pop up boutique shop in Brentwood. The two story shop, located in the historical Brentwood Country Mart, had an eclectic mix of product. From vintage jewelry, home accessories, to the latest brands in denim and accessories, every detail of product is a reflection of Paltrow’s goop brand. I of course did not walk away empty handed. I gifted myself a Claire Vivier pouch in honor of Mother’s Day.

A very belated and whole-hearted Happy Mother’s Day to all my fellow mommies out there.
I especially want to thank my own dear mom who has taught me many things in life. One key learning is one of selflessness. To always give and sacrifice for those you love most.
In addition, I particularly want to dedicate a heartfelt Mother’s Day wish to Jacqui, from Baby Boy Bakery blog (Instagram: @babyboybakery). A mother, who at this time deserves every ounce of love and support right now as she faced an unfathomable tragedy last week.

I certainly have relished in my hiatus. An escape from my everyday reality, and masked under the slow paced life of a beach bum. Our vacation to Hawaii was everything and more. My tan turned 50 shades browner, the boys, who turned fish, endlessly frolicked in the water, we captured every breath taking sunset, and of course spent quality time as a family. I am devastated that it has come to an end and sad to face a work day Monday.
